I stayed in Rani Meyyammai hostel for 5 years from 1994 to 1999. I did my under graduation and post-graduation in Ethiraj College. The years I spent there were truly amazing even without any internet or communication facilities that are available these days. The food was very nice and the warden was really friendly. I have so many wonderful memories there and I made some lifelong friends in that place. My daughter is studying in Stella Maris College and Rani Meyyammai Hostel was the only option in my mind for her stay. This hostel was best and the safest then and it is still one. There are many more facilities available now and that is the reason I chose this hostel for her stay.

Rani Meyyammai Hostel, a place which takes care of all your needs. It is one of the best hostels in Chennai. The hostel endeavors to work out its mission of providing holistic formation of all the women students in a nurturing, dynamic and multi-cultural environment. Recognizing and appreciating this noble mission, we students seek ways of personalizing this mission.Food is amazing in Rani Meyyammai hostel. I don’t really miss home food and it’s that good. Though we have curfew, we did enjoy so much inside the hostel. The wardens are firm for our safety and protection as well as supportive for
our needs and queries. The security Annas are more vigilant in their duty that they remember every individual in the hostel and keep a track of the in and out transition time. Overall it is a safe place for the students to stay. I owe my gratitude to Rani meyyammai hostel, Chennai for giving me wonderful memories and an excellent stay. Today I feel blessed to have stayed in this reputed hostel.

Life in RMH was a wonderful experience. The stay there was comfortable and homely. The staff and the warden made us feel like home. They were really friendly. One of the best things in RMH is the delicious food being served at the mess with lots of varieties that was just like the home cooked food. RMH also gives importance to cultural activities; it also conducts the “freshers night” and the “hostel night”. Cleanliness is next to godliness to give justice to this saying they maintain the cleanliness. On the whole I had a wonderful stay at the hostel.

I have stayed in Rani Meyyammai Hostel for past 3 years and this hostel is in a great location with plenty of shops, restaurants, Colleges, park, museum and Library nearby. Our stay is supported with scheduled cleaning, Air-conditioned rooms and laundry facilities. We get to enjoy the best food with multiplicity. The hostel environment keeps us fresh and warm all the time with pleasant slogans played in the morning, and the well-equipped gym helps us feel lively the entire day with a small game of Table tennis adding more to the existing energy. Every aspect of our stay will definitely exceed our expectations.
